SUNDAY SCHOOL Introduction

Sunday school now runs from 9.45 to 10.40 am along side our Daybreak service. Breakfast for everyone is available from 9.15.

Each child wishing to attend must be registered each year. Registration forms are available on this website section and also in the church hall when you come to register. Do not worry if you miss attending in September as children can be registered at any stage during the year.

Age Groups

Our age groups are as follows:

1) Scramblers. This group is for children who are in P1 and P2. Younger children can go out to the crèche room with their parents. Preschool children can either go to the crèche with their parents, or join Scramblers.

2) Sunday School. This group is for children who are in P3-P7.

3) Pathfinders. This group is for children from year 8 to year 12.

When do we start?

We start in September alongside Daybreak - please see the Parish Newsletter on the website for dates. We hope that lots of parents/friends will come with their children, but if you are not planning to attend Daybreak your child will be very welcome on their own as long as you have registered them with Sunday School and let us know that you are not staying with them. Breakfast will be available from 9.15am and there will supervision for unaccompanied Sunday school children.

Please note that Sunday School will end at 10.40am and children (including Scramblers) will be returned to the main hall as Daybreak finishes. Any children not accompanied by their parents should be picked up at the outside double doors of the Minor Hall. We hope to see you there, every age and stage . Feel free to contact us via the parish office with any queries you may have.

What are our aims?

Sunday School has three main aims:

Evangelism: telling the children about Jesus as Saviour.

Teaching: how God's word is relevant to our lives.

Building a church family: helping the children get to know each other, their teachers and the young people who help us, and helping them get involved in church life.

Interested in helping?

If you are interested in joining our team of teachers or assistants? We would be delighted to hear from you. Please use the contact information above. Please note all volunteers at all levels are subject to St Patricks/St Andrews vetting procedures and Child protection policy.
