1st Coleraine Company Boys’ Brigade will be celebrating its 130th anniversary in two years’ time (2028). To mark this occasion, we are trying to organise a display of old memorabilia and photographs in St. Patrick’s Church in 2028. We are hoping that the congregation of St. Patrick’s and St. Andrew’s, and the people of Coleraine, will be able to help us in our quest.
Did you get a King’s/Queen’s/President’s Badges
We are also in the process of collecting the names and dates of all past boys who achieved their President’s and Queen’s/King’s Badges.
The earliest badges . . .
that we have received so far are those of Alfie Taylor and the late John Simpson, both of whom received their Queen’s Badges in 1958. The latest contribution is from David Hodges who received his King’s Badge in 2025.
We would really appreciate it if you could make this appeal known to families and friends and also those whom you think may be interested, and able to contribute to our appeal.
We have made a photograph album of the few photos that we have already received from the late Mabel Hartin’s scrapbooks, and from Kenneth Millar’s collection. You will be able to view this in St. Patrick’s Church on Sunday mornings. We are looking forward with great anticipation for any assistance that can help us in our search.
